The Unpublished Tape of Eva Braun (Eva Braunin esittämätön nauha) is a monologue opera composed by Pasi Lyytikäinen and written by Maritza Núñez. The premiere of the opera was at Alexander Theatre on the 2nd of September 2021 being part of the Helsinki Contemporary Opera Festival, and was performed together with Anne Frank monologue opera.
The monologue opera is a surreal and absurd description of the aging Eva Braun going through her own life, choices, and emotions. What made young Eva Braun fall in love with Adolf Hitler? Does Eva Braun regret her past decisions and forgotten dreams? The opera is performed by soprano Reetta Ristimäki, known as an expressive actor and singer.

The Helsinki Contemporary Opera Festival was crowned by Pasi Lyytikäinen's Eva Braun, whose counterfactual interpretation of the later period of time of Hitler and his wife Eva Braun made one's hair stand on end.
Maritza Nuñéz’s libretto was airy (enough few words) and smart. Lyytikäinen's music added its own plot twists to the text. And soloist: this is the best I've ever seen from Reetta Ristimäki. Brilliant, unashamed and brutal acting. Bravi tutti!
